So whilst I was away last week, a very exciting parcel arrived for me. It's been something that's been in the pipeline for over 18 months!
Way back in 2010, I was asked to contribute a project to a new seaside sewing book called 'Seaside Home', part of the Design Collective series by Stash Books. My project was to be my Beach Hut cushion (or 'pillow' as it's called in the States!) And finally... after all these month, the book has been published!
I am really quite excited to be part of this book, especially as it is such a lovely book! To be honest, I still am excited whenever and wherever I see my work in print, whether it is for my textiles work or magazine commissions, I don't think it will ever grow old! I would love to write and design my own sewing/ craft book one day too...
Anyway there are 25 sewing and craft projects in the book, all with a seaside theme, including quilts, cushions, bags, and garlands just to name a few. All the projects are step by step with clear illustrations, beautifully styled photos and templates so it is perfect for both experienced sewers and beginners too, it really is a lovely book.
Anyway here's the best part... I am giving away a copy of the book to one lucky reader of my blog!
♥ All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post telling me what you love most above the seaside. You don't have to be a follower of my blog but I would love it if you were!
♥ For a second entry, you can blog about my giveaway. Feel free to use the top image if you want, and please link back to this post and leave me a second comment to let me know you've mentioned it!
The giveaway is open internationally, and will end in one weeks time on Easter Monday, 9th April, 7.00pm UK time.
Thanks so much for entering and good luck!
p.s If you can't wait and want to buy your own copy of Seaside Home, you can find it here (US readers) and here (UK readers) xxx

I love sitting on the sand at the water's edge, letting the little ripples run over my toes. Mind you, it's got to be a lovely sunny day and the right sort of sand :)
Lovely childhood memories of the seaside - I was lucky enough to have grandparents who lived a few miles from the coast.
Congratulations on the new new book, it looks fantastic. I am very lucky to live near the sea and the beach is my favourite place in the world, whatever the weather! A brisk walk on a chilly morning followed by a flask of steaming coffee is my idea of bloss. It really does clear the cobwebs!

I love collecting shells, running into the sea straightaway, clambering over rocks, jumping down sand dunes and after our long drive down to St Ives enjoying the best fish and chips ever!!. Congratulations on your cushion tutorial the book looks fantastic xx
I love the sand under my feet, the smell of the sea in the air, the sound of the seagulls, its all good for the soul xxx
I love the sea! it's probably the smell I love the most! Every year we stay on a tiny island off the west coast of Ireland and the smell of the peat fires and the sea are what I look forward too!
fab new book, just perfect for making presents for my seasidey friend :) fingers crossed
Wow, what a wonderful giveaway, whats not to like about the seaside? For me, its relaxing with my family on the beach, and much more besides.
and congratulations to having your gorgeous work published in a lovely looking book.
Sue Xxx
Congratulations on the book ~ it looks fabulous. I am so lucky in that I live right next to the sea and I love nothing more than walking along the beach listening to the waves crashing against the shore. I also love looking for sea treasures too :O)x
Congratulations Jenny, what a beautiful book to be a part of!!
Your cushion is, as always, gorgeous. :)
What I really love about the seaside is beach combing! Give me a bag or a bucket and could walk for hours collecting stuff. I especially love sea glass!
Happy new week,
Vivienne x
Wow the book looks amazing! Congrats on getting published! My fav thing about the seaside is collecting seaglass, shells & driftwood! But to be honest I love everything about the seaside! One day I dream of living by the sea & getting to spend hours walking on the beach & having BBQs (perhaps I need to move to Australia!). Cx
I love looking out over the sea and feeling amazed at the power and beauty of the ocean. I also love the fun of seaside towns - it is my dream to have a beach hut one day and make it into a craft room/beach room/changing room/personal cafe!
Wow, congratulations! It must be so exciting to see your work in a book!
My favourite thing about the seaside is really difficult to choose - I just love the whole atmosphere of the beach at different times of year. But I think possibly my favourite is going to the beach in the winter when no one else is around and watching the wind whip up the waves. It just takes my breath away.
Oh well done Jenny! How exciting it must be to see your work in print and it is a truly lobvely looking book.
As for the seaside - what don't I love about it? I love sailing in little Mermaid on it; splashing in the icy waves of the Cornish North coast seas or lying on my back with the sun on my face in the calmer south Cornish waves; the sound of it whether rough or gentle; the colours...I could go on but won't!
Have a great week lovely lady xx
Hi again, have just posted a link on my blog! Find it here - http://cuteasabutton82.wordpress.com/2012/04/02/another-blanket-started/
Thanks :)
what a lovely book!
I live by the sea and never go there in the summer, too many people!
I love to walk along the beach in the winter just after bad weather, when the sky is dramatic, the waves are choppy and there's no-one around!
Hi Jenny :D Please don't worry about entering me into the draw - my sewing machine has just given up the ghost and it's probably going to be a while before I get another - I just wanted to say 'how exciting!' :D
I'm a seaside in winter girl ... crashing waves, howling winds and salty chips eaten with gloved hands while sitting in promenade shelters and watching the seagulls attempt to stay airborne ... the best times :D
Congratulations on being 'published'!
But, Jenny, what are you waiting for? Go and do your own book girl!
(Please!).
What do I like most about the Seaside? KNOWING that one day I will live near the Sea! Then there are...sand between your toes, paddling and if the water gets warm enough, swimming, wave watching, just everything really!
Hugs,
Sandie xx
Congratulations on your work published in the book, it looks fabulous. I love many things about the seaside....walking along the beach hand in hand, the sound of seagulls and the smell of fish and chips. Fingers crossed, it would be ACE to win a copy of the book. Michelle x
Congratulations that must be a great feeling!
I just love the sea side, I'm currently looking at decorating my bathroom and I want a beach hut theme, I just love beach huts and everything about the sea. We live by the sea and the sound has to be my favourite thing, even when it's wild it's beautiful!
Kandi x
Just popped back to say that I've posted about your giveaway and put a giveaway alert on my blog too!
Sandie xx
What a great book to be part of! Seaside themes never go out of fashion and there's something so refreshing when you walk into a seaside home. Lots of inspiration in this book for a sewing novice like me! The seaside is such a creative place to be :)
Well done on having your work in such a lovely book....clever you! I would love to be entered into your giveaway thanks!
I am lucky enough to live right on the coast so get to see, smell and hear it lots. My favourite thing, although it's hard to pick, is when it is the end of a day you sit and listen to the water pull back over the pebbles, before it rushes forward again in the next wave, it's a sound like no other....positively blissful!
It'd be tough to pick one thing that I love most about the seaside. Here are some of the things I think of...
I love how I can smell the sea before I even see it. As if it's calling to me; waiting for me. I love searching along the shore for shells and smooth rocks. And of course, chasing the gulls and seabirds.
My earliest memory of the ocean is when I was a child, running down the sand and into the salt water with my sisters. Fully clothed. At night. With my parents laughing far behind. I love how the sea can make anyone a child again.
I love sunsets at the seaside and long walks up the beach. I also love seeing how happy my dogs get when they run around in the water.
Congratulations on being in such an amazing book
Well Done Jenny, The book looks fantastic, you must be so proud!
aS I live by the sea I love everything about the Seaside, but if I had to pick one thing it would be the smell of the sea and the sound of the crashing waves.
I would love to enter the give away too.
Have a great week,
Andrea x
How exciting having your work in an actual book! Well done :)
I love the SOUNDS of the seaside - the waves, the seaguls, children playing....aaaah!
Oooh ooh oooh loving this giveaway!! Ok my fav thing is searching for nice shells - we live near the beach and all the shells that wash up on our beach are abit rubbish - if I find a good one half buried in the sand I get so excited pull it out and the other half is broken! doh :( I need to get away to a nice exotic place to collect some mega shells! I also make a treasure map with my miss 3 so we can hunt for hidden treasure - normally a broken shell :p
Kirsty xx
ps The 2 words I have to read to prove im not a robot are the most difficult 2 words I have ever seen so I think if I pass this test i totally deserve to win the giveaway :p
Update: I didnt get the 2 words so maybe i dont deserve to win afterall !! attempt number 2 coming up :p
What a gorgeous book Jenny. I’m lucky in that I can walk down to the sea in ten minutes, and watch the waves crashing on the rocks. At this time of the evening when the sun is just going down behind the lighthouse, it’s magical.
The book looks great, how wonderful to be a part of it.
I'm very lucky to live by the sea and my favourite thing is during the summer months - having a bbq picnic with friends, a couple of glasses of wine and watching the children splash in the sea as the sun goes down. Heaven!
I already subscribe to your feed :)
I love the satisfaction of finding a sun trap that is sheltered from the wind at the British seaside. Literally no better feeling IN THE WORLD!
P.S congratulations on the fabulous work!!
Bethanie xx
Fab news on the book! I love the seaside on stormy nights, watching the waves crash in and feeling the atmosphere....truely magical.
Well done, what an achievement!
What do I love about the seaside....
I love watching my kids do all the things on the beach that I used to do as a child, rock pooling, paddling (and getting all our clothes wet!) and making sandcastles- happy times xx
Take care
Julia
Wonderful Jenny! The book looks amazing and your gorgeous cushion (pillow) looks perfect among it's pages! I love so many things about the seaside...the sounds of the sea, beach combing, walking on the beach.....but most of all I love seaside colours, like you I often use them in my work and they just make me soooo happy!
Have a wonderful week.
Helen x
Congratulations! How very exciting!!! I have very happy honeymoon memories of watching the sun go down on the beach, and I now love playing with my toddler in the sea and making sand castles :-)
Michelle x
First of all, congratulations, well done - it seems like a really great book! Which is why, of course, I'd love to have a copy!
So, what I love most about the seaside is the fact that I basically get to spend 24 hours a day with my husband and kiddies there, as we always spend our holiday at the seaside. I always associate it with family time :)
Jenny! That is so wonderful that you were able to be a part of such a lovely book. The seaside's song - crashing waves, children's laughter, the call of a dolphin - has always been my favorite. Thanks for hosting this giveaway :-)
I spread the word, it's on my blog!
I love feeling the sand between my toes & i love dipping my feet in the ocean & then exfoliating them with the sand they feel so clean & fresh afterwards!
Oh & whippy ice cream is also a must at the beach
Lovely book... I love the sea, the sound and the smell. Mostly the sound. And call me odd but I love the seaside more on cold days, the sea just seems more... Well, sea like :)
X
I've blogged about your giveaway http://lesbijouxdeclaire.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/competitions-competitions.html

I grew up in a beach town, so what I love most about the ocean is that it feels like home.
wordygirl at EarthLink dot net
The cool fresh sea breeze. Shiny pebbles and twirly shells and the feeling of being on the edge of the world away from everything :)
Congratulations x
I love to enjoy an icecream on the beach xx
Hi, I found your giveaway through Sandies patch blog. I love the seaside, I would love to live by the sea. What I love is the way that one moment it can be sunshine, shining sand and a sea like a mill pond and then change to a raging wild landscape. I love the ever changing drama x
Hi Jenny
Hope you had a nice break away!
I went to the sea side last weekend!
Must say my favorite thing is people watching with some fish and chips :)
Well done the book looks amazing

well done on the book. I love the peace and sense of calm when i go to the seaside. You can forget all your troubles while building sand castles. x
Mentioned you on my blog. http://magic-thenewbridgetjones.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/wonderful-jenny-arnott-has-book.html
I love paddling - we managed our first paddle of the year at Bournemouth in the middle of march - the sea was still chilly to say the least!

I love all the sounds and smells at the seaside! Really like nowhere else!
I follow you :)

The seaside is where I can escape for a magical few hours.I love people watching & just being alone with my thoughts,it is a great place for creative thoughts & I always take a note book with me.
As a child I love to collect shells in a bucket, as an adult I still do the same! It always makes me smile - simple seaside pleasures!
I love the yummy food at the seaside - fish and chips, ice cream, tooth-rotting minty rock!
congrats on the book, it looks fabulous.
what i like most about the seaside is just the beauty and power of nature, whether it's looking for shells or beautiful stones, rockpooling in all weathers or watching a raging storm. The sea has so many moods and can never entirely be tamed by humans, i love that and love to feel a tiny part of it xx
I love everything about the seaside, so much so it's where I am choosing to have my hen, unfortunately I live the furthest point from the sea in the UK, but visiting makes each time more like an adventure!
I love fresh fish and chips, there's really nothing like it, I love the way you can sink into a deckchair and really feels like no other chair in the world and enjoy the salty sea breeze on your lips and face. I love ice cream cones with raspberry sauce and building amazing sandcastles with moats then putting a flag in the top to declare 'this sand is mine'.
I especially love the beach when its colder, there's no one around and you can wrap up in a lovely thick coat and scarf and have the nicest stroll in the world.
I wish I lived nearer the sea...
I'm not a big sunbather and i can't swim, but i LOVE walking along the beach in the evenings. It really clears my mind. I bring my ipod and i could walk for miles! I love bringing my nieces to the beach to collect shells and make sandcastles too! I'm lucky to live very near a nice beach. I think i took it for granted for years but after spending 3 years in the city i gained a whole new appreciation for it. I feel sorry for city folks who only get to got to the seaside now and then.
Wow what a lovely book & giveaway, and how exciting it must be to see your work in print!
I love being by the seaside, the pebbles and shells, the lapping waves...and the barnacles! I love a good barnacle! I'm always taking close up photos of them! :)
Wow, congrats on the book, it looks amazing!!!
I am lucky enough to live by the sea, in Newquay, and the beach has always been one of my favourite places. These days, I love to take the children (age 2 and 3) there, with a picnic and our buckets and spades. Theres nothing like sandy sandwiches, stamping on sand castles, and eating ice creams while daddy goes surfing. Love it!!

My favorite thing is the fact that you are so humble and real! I don't know you at all yet my heart beams with pride for you in your acomplishments! Keep up the heart and dedication to your lovely creative nature!!
I love the crash of the waves against the rocks and watching the sunset over the horizon.
The book looks great and I love everything to do with the seaside but my favourite is beach huts.
Gillx
I would love to live along the coast line. The beach in winter is the perfect picture. Huge waves and cloudy skies.
Hi Jenny , you must be thrilled . I have always loved to be near the sea , I love the crisp fresh air, sea breeze, the colours blues, golden sand , beige colors , being the only one on beach, walking on the beach .. Would love to wake every day to hear and smell the sea, open windows and have sea view .. If only .. You never know :0) .
I recently bought a card for mothers day from you flowers in blue dotty vase .. My mum loved it .. I told her you were regularly in crafts beutiful magazine and she said ooh a card by a celebrity crafter Lol .. Well you are sort of .. Love your work
Julie from Giftswithheart x x x
I love it when the tide goes out, leaving behind those little rock pools. My nieces and I like to explore them for crabs and little fishes.
Hi thankyou for your lovely comments on my blog ,i think your work is lovely
What i love most about the seaside is walking along the lovely seafront eating fish and chips followed by a mr whippy icecream, watching and hearing the seagulls swooping for scraps ,watching all the funny characters you see crammed onto evey spare bit of sand ,the deckchairs and beach huts and the fishing boats coming in surrounded by the seagulls ,there is something quite special about it all ,we used to go as kids and whoever saw the sea first got a prize ,lovely memories xx
Fantastic that your cushion (pillow) is featured in such a great book.
Ive never lived more than 30 mins away from the beach, all of my life,so the smell and sound of the beach just means home to me
XX Manda XX
congratulations!! fantastic achievement
to be beside the seaside is to watch the world go by icecream, sandcastles, children playing, families taking time out together and grandparents enjoying it all fully clothed and then there is a fish and chip supper at the end of it -fabulous
Ooo how lovely to be in a book, I see another Jeni in there too with her wreath. I love the sound and power of the waves, and the squeak and crunch of the pebbles! thanks for the giveaway
Congratulations on the book.
I love the smell and sound of the seaside and I even enjoy the sand that seems to get in all the sandwiches. It gives them a bit of a crunch!!
Hi, I love bringing my kids to the beach, jumping the waves, looking for crabs & sea snails, burying our feet & digging holes in the sand just under the picnic rug for poor unsuspecting dad or grandad to fall into! tee hee ; )
I love the beach for 2 reasons, one being when I'm on a UK beach it's me & my dog Hudson and he gets so excited when we pull up in the car. The other reason is when I'm on holiday abroad I like to find a nice calm inlet/bay where I can just relax and watch the sea as I find the sounds of the ocean very relaxing. I'm following you on GFC as sjess82, I'm also a Facebook liker as Shelley Jessup and my email is shelleyjessup1982@hotmail.com
Hello Jenny,
I think I am your number 1 fan all the way from little old New Zealand. I have been a facebook follower of yours for a long while now.
I love the s e a s i d e because I feel like I have come home.
I also walk my miniature Dachshund Ernie along our local beach collecting driftwood and the seas many treasures.
I am a huge fan of seas creatures and nautical crafts.
If i won your beautiful book I would surely try to create every 25 projects !!!
Lots of love
Jacqui (your biggest fan from across the world!) x
Congratulations Jenny - how exciting to be published in a book!!
I'd love a chance to win!
Thanks!
Maria xx
Congratulations Jenny, you must be so pleased to see your work in print. The beach hut cushion is gorgeous. Thanks for the chance of winning the book, we live as far inland as you can get so what I love about the seaside is seeing my children play in the sand and sea as we don't get the chance all that often xx
Hello, thanks for stopping by my blog. Congratulations on your project in the book, looks like another one I'll be buying! I love all your work, you are very talented.
The best bit about the seaside for me is the briny smell and the sound of the seagulls!
xx
I'm so pale that I burn in the sun, so I love the beach in the evenings when it's empty and cooler. I love to walk in the edge of the sea. Living bang slap in the middle of the country means it doesn't happen often!
Well done on the book sweetie, I hate waiting for things so you did great! I would lovd to win a copy of this wonderful book :) my favourite thing about the seaside is the noise of the sea with the waves crashing, especially at night when I can hear it in bed :)
Bee happy x
Have a delicious day!
PS have you entered my giveaway?
What a great book, and congratulations on being included. There's nothing better than walking on a deserted beach on a beautiful sunny morning, just me and Daisy watching the seals sunbathing on the rocks. As someone who lives by the sea I'm abit obsessed by everything seaside so would love the chance to win this book.
Happy Easter
Hugs

I have never actually been to the seaside, but I have been to Lake Superior (Minnesota, USA) which is more of a sea versus a lake. That is my favorite place to go for vacations. I love watching the waves ripple back and forth, watching the waves leave ripples in the sand, wading out in the FREEZING water to see how far the sandbar lasts, watching the blue of the water fade into the blue of the sky, watching sailboats and big barges on the water, and of course- kayaking. So fun. I miss it sooo much.
Congratulations on getting your design included in the book. How exciting! :D
I would so love to win this book. I love the seaside and the interior and exterior furnishings are based upon a cottage by the sea, unfortunatately I dont live by the sea, but I can dream.xx
Hi, I am a new follower and would love to take part in your giveaway! This book looks fantastic! Congratulations!
My favourite thing about the seaside has to be the way it blows away the cobwebs - the sights and sounds give you so much space to think, the wind and sea air help to clear your head and the warm sand and lapping ocean relax you. I really miss living near the sea for that!
Love Jewel x
I love the sea air, not fond of the sand. But I can sit and watch the water and smell the sea air and not a care in the world. Thanks for sharing, Happy Easter, take care and enjoy! Cheers SpecialK XoXo
The book looks great Jenny! Two of my greatest loves are cushions and the seaside so its right up my street :)
I have blogged about your giveaway here: http://freespiritdesigns1.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/beach-combing-and-book-givaway.html
What i love most about the seaside is BEACH COMBING - I love treasure hunts, and beach combing is treasure hunting in paradise! with the sun on your face, the wind in your hair, the taste of salt on your lips, the sand between your toes and the beauty of the uninterrupted ocean horizon... there are few things in life as wonderful!
Congratulations on the book... that must have been around the time (maybe just after) I did my feature on you. One of my first ever posts!!! Time flies when you're having Blogging fun. There is so much to love about the seaside, but I guess it has to be the sound of the seagulls. You can only be at the seaside when you hear them (or possibly a municipal dump.... nice!!!). But you get my drift.
I have Blogged your Giveaway here: http://itsallaboutthefabric.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/jenny-arnott-textiles-giveaway.html E x
I love sitting on the beach and playing in the sand and water with my girl!
The salty air'd serenity...I've built a life and business around that idea :) I love the instant peace stepping onto the sandy shore brings.
The book looks beautiful...congratulations!
I love the sound of the ocean. It really helps you clear everything else out of your head so you can relax.
robyn(d0t)geddes(at)gmail(d0t)com
That does look like a lovely book! I live by the sea and walk my dog along the beach most mornings. I love the big expanse of sky, everyday it is different!
I love the utter peace and serenity of having feet in soft sand and gazing at the endless expanse of water. There truly is nothing more relaxing. If I could do that every day, I'm sure it would add years to my life.
Congrats on the book! I love that little crab embroidery. What I love most about the sea is that is provides me with a job! I research ocean microbes so naturally I love the ocean and everything in it...including the microscopic algae that I study (Prochlorococcus...say that 10 times!).
I do love the seaside, I've always lived by it, but I hate going to the beach! The sand is grainy and itchy when it gets stuck in towels and clothes and shoes, and pebbles are even worse, so hard and lumpy and they get so hot in the summer! Then theres the chip pinching seagulls who not only try to snatch your icecream, but half your arm with it, the screaming children, the smell of salt and fish and wet dog, who then comes and shakes all that sea water off (usually over me, along with the frisbee or football that always tends to come and hit me on the head!) Oh and don't forget the people in skimpy bathing suits who really shouldnt be wearing such things, and there is never a space for you to enjoy, its always so cramped in the summer you feel like beached sardines! And don't get me started on actually going IN the water! Slimy stinky seaweed, lumpy things on the sea floor that you aren't too sure you ought to be treading on, it is always far too chilly, the salt water playing havok with hair, the tight, dry skin when you are dry, and accentially intaking of the water makes me feel queasy - especially if there are children or suspicious looking people or warmer patches of water about!
But... From a safe distance, it is beautiful! So I think i'd have to say, my favourite thing about the seaside, is the view, the rows of beach huts, the ever changing blues and greens of the water, the patchwork of beach towels - just don't take me anywhere near it!
I love the irony of the sea and the juxtaposition of the man-made versus the natural. We think we can protect our shoreline and defend it from the sea by building defences made from natural objects such as rock and wood.
Yet stroll along any beach and it is obvious that nature is king as the sea, the sand, the elements weave their way around and through everything we try to put in its way. Its footprints are everywhere, indelibly tattooed into an ever shifting shoreline, long after our own footprints have been painted out by the tide. Judith Hart judi.blu@ntlworld.com
my husband thinks I must have been a mermaid in aprevious life as we always have to go on holiday and walk on beaches and have a rented house where you can hear the sea when you go to sleep!
The warmth of the sun, smiling, walking along the promenade, wondering where all those ships in the distance are going, buckets and spades, sand castles, Candy floss, feet dangling from the pier, fish and chips out of paper, ice cream with sprinkles, flip flops and huge sunhat's, postcards and gift shops, sunsetting, happy, relaxed, sleepy, great memories - thats what I like most about the seaside, the great memories.
I love the seaside, the glorious salty smell that whistles through your nostrils, the sound of the waves lapping the pebbly shore, and the seagulls darting around for scraps of food squealing to each other. All these sounds and smells evoke childhood memories long left behind for me.
i love the sunshine on the water, and the constant change of color that the sea projects, almost like a mood. grey, then turquoise blue, then slate, then navy blue, all with the foam and waves crashing in.
this book looks fabulous.
Well done on the book, it looks fabulous, I love the way the sea changes the beach every time the tides change leaving behind new treasures to find. The little rock pools with their wildlife never disappoint and the smiles and laughter from my children...
I'm not a sitting on the beach kind of person but I love to go sailing. For me, being by the sea is more about being ON the sea.
How exciting to see your work in print. This looks like a fantastic book. I love to smell the sea it instantly relaxes me but actually I love everything about the seaside - beaches, sea, rockpools, collecting shells, just everything!
This book looks perfect for me! I love finding lil' crabs crawling on the beach and running into the waves to get the sand off of me only to get more stuck to my feet on the way out.
I love the smell of the sea and the way the wet sand feels between your toes.
The sea is my sweet home ... I live on an island in the south of Brazil ... then I can say with certainty that the sea is my sweet home!
I loved the book, I love crafts with the nautical theme ... My logo is also a float!
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway! If I come to win this book, and I'll be very very happy and honored!
Success for you always!
Hugs
I love walking the beach and looking for seashells w/ the kids.
I love a tidepool on a rocky, wave exposed shore! The best way to lose an hour or two observing an amazing ecosystem!
most of all I love to collect sea shells and smooth pieces of glass, this is my meditation :)
I've never lived near the ocean and haven't spent much time there. It is a place of awe and wonder for me. I think the movement of the waves is what I find most wondrous.
What I love most of the seaside ...hmm basically I love swimming and I love the scenery at the seaside during the sunset.
Congratulations on being published in the book!
I have a thing about waves. I could sit all day watching them come in; I find it so calming. I also love to walk along the beach staring into the sand looking for treasures.

Hi Jenny , please enter me in your lovley giveaway and congratulations on contributing to the book :0)
My favoutite thing about the seaside is the way the boys are so happy there .They just love days on the beach and body boarding .
Hello,
I stumbled upon your blog for the first time yesterday and spent a happy 40 minutes there admiring all your creations. I've only recently got into free motion embroidery so it was a very lucky find.
What I love most about the sea is the sounds that it makes - rhythmic, regular and never ending. You don't get that sound anywhere else. The smell too.
Thanks for your blog and for the giveaway. Good luck to everyone!
I love the taste of the sea on the skin AFTER you've been to the seaside.
Love your blog too, beautiful!

Strolling along the waters edge at dusk and of course eating fish and chips!
Congratulations! Looks like a gorgeous book.
What is not to love about the seaside? There is a fish and chip restaurant by the sea in torcross, Devon which is one of my favourite places to be in the world!

Hi Jenny,
Congratulations on having your work published in this lovely looking book, how exciting for you. It is well deserved as your work is simply gorgeous :) As a child, I spent every Summer in our caravan in Norfolk. I love nothing more than taking a long walk along the beach and hearing the waves rolling in from the sea, it is such a calming sound.
Have a lovely Easter.

What I love about the seaside is that it has an amazing ability to draw people to it & allow them all to enjoy its magic in the way that pleases them most. Congrats on book.
Congratulations on the book, looks great. I love taking my children to the seaside and watching them trying to out run the sea, then listening to their squeals of delight when it catches them! Never tire of it!
This looks like a beautiful book with lots of inspiring projects to tackle. I too have been obsessed with the seaside of late I think it was the nice weather making me think of holidays by the sea. I love the smell of the seaside and the sound of the waves especially the clattering of the stones as the sea runs away again, picnicking on the beach and walking on the sand where no one has walked and body-boarding.
Lovely giveaway - I love the sound of the sea when I close my eyes and like dreaming of sailing away into the sunset xx louise
I went to the seaside yesterday and it was great just walking along the shore watching the waves :)
The book looks fab!
I go to university in scarborough. I love liking there. Its so beautiful, especially early morning runs on the beach, the summer when it's warm, picnics. I love the seaside attractions and seeing families enjoying their holidays. It makes me feel alive to stand on the rocks hearing the waves crashing below me. I love everything about it, even if the occasional seagull sits outside my window tapping to get in!! xx
Hope I'm just in time! New to your blog having just found you on FB, but now a follower!
Great book and gorgeous cushion of yours - how exciting!
I love the sound and the smell of the sea - just standing with my eyes closed, smelling the sea and hearing the waves lapping on the shore - heaven!
Gill xx
I love the seaside in the winter when there's no one there and the wind is blowing so hard you can hardly walk. It makes you feel so alive as you watch huge waves crashing over the rocks.
I loved having an ice cream with sprinkles and sauce whilst paddling in the shallow surf when i was little, watching the water running in between my toes and going shell collecting! those were the best memories from when i went to the seaside :) i'm taking my toddler to the beach for the first time this year to let her have the same memories of the seaside too xx
Congratulations on the book! What I love about the seaside is taking my shoes off and feeling the sand and the sea on my toes! :0)
How exciting to be published!
I love the feeling of waves hitting me in the sea as it reminds me of when my daddy used to take me into the sea when I was a little girl and hold my hand real tight so I didn't disappear with the waves :)
